Your safety is our concern, and it is essential that you report any accident, incident or near incident to a team member so that we ensure you are alright and put actions in place to try and avoid future incidents.
It is also important that you live without any fear of abuse of harassment. We urge you to contact a team member or manager if you ever feel threated, unsafe, or harassed. It is equally important to let us know if you feel that someone else is at risk of being threated or abused.
The Serious Incident Response Scheme (SIRS) is a government initiative to help reduce the risk of abuse and neglect for people living or staying in a residential aged care home. The scheme requires aged care providers to identify, record, manage, resolve, and report all serious incidents that occur or are alleged or suspected to have occurred, in a residential aged care service.
We will make all reasonable efforts to stop the behaviour and to protect our residents and team members. We will also make all efforts to ensure that complainants and witnesses are not victimized in any way.
Always feel free to contact a team member if you have an accident or are unhappy with any aspect of your care, or the care of another resident.
