We are on hand to help you get and take your medications and other health treatments.
We use a multi-dose sachet pack medication system. We are unable to use any medications opened prior to your admission, but we can arrange for their safe disposal.
We use a local Pharmacists who have been selected because of their commitment to service and value. Our preferred pharmacy supplier will invoice you each month for the cost of any medications. They can also arrange a direct debit system if preferred. Any queries regarding accounts should be referred directly to our preferred pharmacy supplier.

The pharmacy delivers medications and over the counter products directly to us and we will liaise directly with the pharmacy to ensure you receive all the medications you need.
An independent Consultant Pharmacist visits on a regular basis to conduct medication reviews and will often make recommendations to your General Practitioner and our Care Managers. We always aim to contact you when there is a change in your medications to make sure you consent to proposed changes before we can assist you to take them. We also need your written consent to administer some medications.
Our medication-competent Carers are on hand to administer medications for you. You have the option of self-administering medications, and you may store medications in your suite where we have assessed that it is safe for you to do so. Your Care Manager will undertake a safety assessment before assisting to arrange this.
It is very important that you let our care team know if you intend to take any new medication, vitamin, or health treatment as they may interact with the medication we give you.
