It is imperative that the home always remains secure to ensure the safety of our residents, staff and property. We maintain security by providing:
- Limited access to entrances / exits
- Monitoring systems that record the entrance and exit of people
- Locked areas within the home that help protect valuables
- Staff screening
We have cameras in many public access areas inside and outside of our home. We access this footage in accordance with our privacy procedures. You can read more about our privacy procedures at www.curtinheritage.com.au/privacy
To ensure your safety we ask that you:
- Report any hazards or suspicious incidents
- Ensure that your valuables are labelled and kept secure. We encourage you not to bring highly valuable items into the home
- Ensure that you do not give keys or key-cards to anyone other than your immediate family. We ask that you take care of these keys as you will be responsible for their replacement should the key be lost
- Ensure that your family is aware of safety and security procedures
We can provide you with locked drawers on request. You can order additional locked drawers or an in-room safe as a Heritage Club service.
In most cases, we can give you and your regular visitors keys to the front entrance of our home. We use electronic key cards, wrist bands and mobile phone applications in lieu of a traditional key as an added security measure. We can provide you with access devices once you sign an agreement. There is a charge for each device.
You can use the door access device to lock or unlock the front door to your suite. We can program your door to lock automatically when you leave the suite, or lock when you are inside your suite to ensure your added privacy.
Our team will always be able to access your door for cleaning, or when checking on your wellbeing.
