Veterans’ Home Care (VHC)
Curtin Heritage at Home Services is proud to support veterans, war widows and widowers across Perth metro, the Kimberley and in the South West and Great Southern regions through two DVA-funded programs: Veterans’ Home Care (VHC) and Community Nursing Services (CNS). Each brings a different kind of support – practical help on one hand, clinical care on the other – and both share the same purpose: helping those who have served remain independent, comfortable, and well at home.
Veterans’ Home Care (VHC)
The VHC Program provides in-home care and support services that complement DVA’s health care arrangements – practical help designed for Entitled Persons who wish to maintain their independence and continue living at home. Just as importantly, the program supports carers, in recognition of the vital role they play in the veteran and defence community.
Through VHC, we can provide domestic assistance to keep the household running, personal care, home and garden maintenance, and in-home respite that gives carers a well-earned break while their loved one remains in familiar, expert hands.
Getting started is straightforward
Contact VHC on 1300 550 450, where an assessment will be completed over the phone. Once services are approved, VHC will provide a service plan and referral to a provider. From there, our team will contact you directly to complete a simple intake process and commence services. From first call to first visit, we keep it easy.
Not Sure Where to Begin?
We are here to help you navigate the DVA programs. If you’re unsure which program fits — or whether you’re eligible at all — call our team. We’ll talk it through in plain English and point you in the right direction, even if that direction isn’t us.
