RiverSea

Where Memory Finds a Home

RiverSea is an award-winning residence offering specialised care for those living with memory loss, including dementia, and is recognised as a leader in family-centred care. Our purpose-designed environment, 24-hour nursing presence and dedicated care support residents to live with dignity, connection and a strong sense of familiarity each day. Families are welcomed as true partners in care, with open communication and genuine relationships built between residents, loved ones and our staff.

Five Cottages, Built Like Home

RiverSea comprises five secure, recently refurbished cottages set within beautiful established gardens. Each cottage of eight or nine bedrooms has its own kitchen, dining room and lounge — the familiar rhythm of a household rather than the corridors of an institution. Residents enjoy a private suite with ensuite, sitting area, courtyard access and a garden outlook, with space to make the room their own with treasured memorabilia.

The environment is designed to promote independence and participation. Though secure, residents are free to explore the gardens and amenities at their own pace — a dementia-friendly design that preserves the dignity of choice.

Our Rooms

Single Room and Ensuite — Garden View and North Garden View

Each room forms part of a small, home-like cottage of eight or nine rooms surrounded by peaceful gardens. Rooms feature a private ensuite, built-in robes, nurse-call system, telephone access and immediate access to a courtyard, with space to personalise with memorabilia. Every room is supplied with a fully electric bed, bedside table, chair and overbed table, and sits within immediate reach of the cottage’s kitchen, dining and lounge, and a short distance from the facility lounge, activity and café spaces.

Lifestyle & ameneties

More Than a Residence, A Life

Living at RiverSea, the days are full. A stretch in the garden before breakfast, a chat over a cup of tea, an afternoon spent painting or listening to music with friends. Residents are encouraged to keep doing what they love, whether that’s picking up an old hobby again or trying something new for the first time.

Care Shaped Around The Person

Every resident is supported by 24-hour nursing care, personal care, therapy services including occupational therapy and physiotherapy, and full laundry and room cleaning . Visiting GPs and a dedicated dementia consultant provide specialist support whenever it is required, an expertise that distinguishes RiverSea within residential aged care in Perth’s western suburbs.

Days Worth Looking Forward To

A varied activity program — including frequent outings in RiverSea’s own luxury van — supports residents to stay active and pursue the interests that have always defined them. Quality dining is assured by an on-site chef who works directly with residents to deliver meals of choice. It is care, comfort and good cooking in a safe and genuinely homely environment.

Exercise and Wellness

At RiverSea, movement is an important part of daily life. Our specialised allied health and therapy team support physical rehabilitation, strength, and mobility, with staff always on hand to guide residents at every stage.

Art & Music

Creative expression plays a central role in daily life at RiverSea, with music and art woven throughout our programming. From group sessions to quiet individual pursuits, residents are invited to explore their creative side in a supportive setting.

High Teas, Happy Hours & Special Events

Our calendar is dotted with celebrations, from elegant high teas to relaxed happy hours and special seasonal events. These occasions bring residents, families, and staff together in a spirit of festivity and connection. They’re a highlight of life at RiverSea, eagerly anticipated by all.
