Our communities operate in accordance with the Retirement Villages Act 1992 (WA) — the legislation that sets out the rights and protections for retirement village residents across the state.
This legislation is currently being strengthened. Recent reforms are being introduced in stages, with new protections covering clearer upfront information to help you compare your options, fairer contract terms, and stronger financial safeguards — including firmer timeframes for the payment of exit entitlements when a resident leaves a village. Further changes will continue to roll out over the coming years, and we’re committed to meeting each new obligation as it comes into effect.
